Albert Lee Fitzgerald, 70
Venice, FL – Albert Lee Fitzgerald passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday August 1st, 2017. He was born in Salisbury, MD, son of the late Thomas and Jeanette Fitzgerald. Lee was a 1966 graduate of Delmar High School in Delmar, MD.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather; and lifelong friend to his friends. He worked for the Maryland State Police for 25 years, and retired as First Sergeant and Section Commander of the Maryland State Police Aviation Division out of Salisbury, MD.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa King. He is survived by his wife of 51years, Laurel Hudson Fitzgerald; his son, Randy Lee Fitzgerald of Sarasota, FL; his daughter, Kandy Frances Abelson of North Port, FL; his grandson Ryan Lee Abelson of North Port, FL; two brothers, James Fitzgerald and his wife Debbie, and Larry Fitzgerald and his wife Geneva; three sisters, Ellen Wilson, Beverly Frye, and Tina Hall; and several nieces and nephews.
A private family service was held on August 2nd, 2017.
