We regret to inform you of the death of Jimmy L. Saunders, Jr., brother of Retired Lieutenant Scott Saunders on October 29, 2017. Our thoughts and prayers are with Scott and his family at this difficult time. The following obituary information has been reprinted from the McComas Funeral Home website.
Jimmy L. Saunders Jr., age 57, of Joppa, MD passed away on October 29, 2017 after complications from pneumonia. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of James Larkin Saunders Sr. and Marie Annette (Degutis) Saunders. A lifelong resident of Harford County, he was a graduate of John Carroll High School. He worked for Iron Workers Local 16 for 32 years. He was a loving husband and NASCAR fan who had a loyal dog Jewels and many supportive friends.
Mr. Saunders is survived by his loving wife, Marie Zeiler Saunders; three children and two stepdaughters; his brother Scott Saunders, wife Debi and their two children, his brother Mark Saunders and sister Michele Zinner and her two sons. He was loved by his aunts, uncles, cousins and father in law.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the McComas Funeral Home, P.A. (Abingdon), 1317 Cokesbury Rd., Abingdon, MD 21009. The family will also receive visitors on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM at the Perry Hall Family Worship Center, 5125 E. Joppa Road, Perry Hall, MD 21128. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:30 PM.
