We regret to inform you of the death of Ann Marie Gawrych, Wife of Retired Lt. Michael Gawrych, on Thursday, December 1, 2016.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Mike, his family and friends at this difficult time.  The following obituary information has been reprinted from the Hicks Funeral Home website.

Ann Marie Roberts Gawrych went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, December 1, 2016. She was born in Baltimore, MD, to Donna Roberts, of Alabama, and the late John Roberts. Mrs. Gawrych was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Roberts.
 
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Gawrych is survived by her husband of 41 years, Michael; her adoring daughters, Kristine (Rob Dvorak) and Julie; and her grandsons whom she treasured dearly, Brady and Ben. She is also survived by her brother, James, of Alabama; nieces and a nephew; sister-in-law, Shelley Roberts, of Pennsylvania; and longtime special friends, Sharon Anderson, Carol Barrow, Gary Holmes Jr., and Mary Heath. Her special friend and prayer buddy, Nancy Holmes, has been waiting in heaven for their reunion. She will be greatly missed by her fur babies, Bella and Honey, and her granddog, Ruby.
 
The family of Mrs. Gawrych would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. S. Sachdev who was always kind and caring to her, as well as to her sweet nurse, Lisa, who kept her company and took such good care of her.
 
Mike would also like to thank the Maryland State Police family for their support during this difficult time.
 
At the request of the family, the funeral service at Hicks Home for Funerals, Elkton, MD, will be private, with interment in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton.
