PASSING OF RETIRED SGT. JOHN V. KNOX

Each academic year the MTA, the Maryland Troopers Foundation, and Warnken LLC provide scholarships to members and students of members of the MTA. The scholarships for 2025 are now available.

The MTA regrets to inform you of the passing of retired Sergeant Robert Farrell. Sgt. Farrell served the Department proudly for 28 years, retiring in December 2002 from the Cumberland Barrack. Please keep the Farrell family in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

The MTA regrets to inform you of the recent passing of MSP retiree, TFC Thomas S. Beman on October 17, 2024.

Today, we mourn the loss of a historical giant within the Maryland State Police. Overnight, Lieutenant (Retired) Douglas DeLeaver lost a courageous battle with a long-term illness. Doug joined the Maryland State Police on January 5, 1970 and retired on July 1, 1992.

Congratulations to all our 2024 Scholarship winners! There were over 70 applications submitted this year and all were excellent contenders. We were able to give out 38 dependent scholarships and 1 member scholarship for a total in awards of $19,500.

Due to renovations being completed, the store will be closed until July 31st. The office will be open as usual during this time.
