We regret to inform you that Kathleen Regina Dinterman, wife of Retired First Sergeant Mitchell Dinterman, passed away on September 17, 2022, at the age of 57. The Maryland Troopers Association sends its deepest condolences to the Dinterman Family during this difficult time.

Kathleen Regina Dinterman, 57, of Taneytown, passed away tragically on Saturday, September 17, 2022, near her home. Kathleen was the cherished wife of Mitchell Wesley Dinterman whom she married on February 11, 1984.

Kathleen was born on May 19, 1965 in Westminster to the late James and Patricia Gregg Runser. She was a graduate of Westminster High School, Class of 1983, and earned her R.N. degree at Catonsville Community College. Kathleen worked at Carroll Hospital and Carroll Digestive Disease Center. After her retirement, she volunteered and worked at the Pregnancy Support Center in Westminster.

In addition to her husband, Kathleen is survived by her three children, son Brian Dinterman of Westminster; son Matthew Dinterman and wife Jessica of Taneytown; and daughter Meghan Hall and husband Matthew of Westminster; two grandchildren Rory and Eliza. She leaves brothers, James Runser and wife Emily of Westminster and William Runser and wife Kathleen of Belair along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Kathleen loved to travel, enjoyed many hobbies and exercising. She loved people and loved hosting family and friends. Her dogs, many of which were rescued, were a huge part of Kathleen and her family’s life. Most of all, Kathleen loved being with her family, especially her grandbabies.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her brother, Matthew Runser.

Her family will welcome friends on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 23rd at 11:30 am at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe Street, Westminster. Interment will be private.
