We regret to inform you of the death of Retired Sergeant Frederick G. North on Saturday, December 23, 2017.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Sgt. North’s family and friends at this difficult time.  The following obituary information has been reprinted from the Star Democrat.
 
Frederick G. North of Denton, MD passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the UMSMC (Memorial Hospital) at Easton, MD. He was 80 years of age.
 
Born in Cambridge, MD on December 29, 1936, Mr. North was the son of the late Lawrence Edward North and Mamie Mae Phillips North. He graduated from the Cambridge High School. Mr. North was a U.S. Air Force veteran. In 1960, he became a MD State Trooper from which he retired in 1985. He then served 25 years with the Caroline County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy. His family considered him to be a man who could do anything, from building cars to building houses.
 
Mr. North is survived by his wife, Dolly North of Denton; two sons: Jeffrey S. North, Sr. (Michele) of Denton and Bryan K. North of Denton; eight grandchildren: Kirsten Cawley (Wayne), Morgan North, Daniel North, Jeffrey North, Jr., Ashlyn North, Kayla North, Amanda Larkin (Jed), and Chelsea Coombs; and two great grandchildren, Avery May and Charlie. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence North, Jr. and David North.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 29th, at the Concord United Methodist Church located at 7112 Dion Road, Federalsburg, MD where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. This will be immediately followed by a gathering in the Concord Community Center. The interment will be in the MD Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock, MD at a date to be announced.
