Senate Bill 193, cross-filed with HB 98, State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program – Retiree Participation in the State Prescription Drug Benefit Plan, will be heard tomorrow, March 5, 2019 at 1:45 p.m. before the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee in the West Miller Senate Building, Room 3, Annapolis, MD. If passed, this legislation will reverse the law passed in 2011 which discontinues prescription drug coverage for all Medicare eligible state retirees. The MTA will be there to testify in favor of SB193, however, all are encouraged to attend. The MTA Office and Store will be closed tomorrow in order to attend the hearing.
