We regret to inform you of the death of Retired Sergeant James B. Black, Jr. (age 62) on June 27, 2013 in Osprey, Florida.   Our thoughts and prayers are with the Black family at this difficult time.  The following obituary information has been reprinted from the Cecil Whig Obituaries.
 
James B. Black, Jr., of Osprey, FL, died June 27th, 2013.  Services will be held at the Chesapeake Bay Golf Club (formerly Chantilly), Rising Sun, MD on Sunday, July 7th at 1:00 pm.
Survivors Include:  Wife and best friend, Vicki Black, his mother, Ivory Jewell Black and father, the late James B. Black Sr., his children Melissa Stevens and Christopher Black, Sr., his brother Richard Black, his sisters Patricia Deck, Karen Ellers, Sandra Wood and Linda Blevins.
Grandchildren, Kelsey Black, Christopher Black, Jr., Madelyn Stevens, Hannah Stevens and Connor Black.
 
History: Jim was born in Baltimore City, raised in Joppa, graduated from Edgewood High School, and served in the Maryland State Police for 25 proud years. He and Vicki recently retired to Florida and enjoyed golfing and spending time with family.
 
A memorial service is scheduled for July 7, 2013 at the Chesapeake Bay Golf Club (formerly Chantilly), Rising Sun, MD from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
