We regret to inform you of the death of Retired Lt. David A. Barcroft on August 24, 2012 at the Dove House in Westminster Maryland. David Allan Barcroft, 55, of Hampstead, died Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Dove House in Westminster. Born October 18, 1956 in Richland, Washington, he was the son of John and Jean Barcroft of Tavares, FL. He was the husband of Ann Dorwart Barcroft, to whom he had been married 32 years.
He was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church. He retired as a MD State Trooper after 26 years. He had been a contractor in DC and the Pentagon for Homeland Security. He enjoyed classical music, traveling, vacationing with his family and playing with his granddaughter. He also had his pilot’s license.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents, is his daughter Amy Barcroft and her husband Matt Peregoy of Gettysburg, PA; son , Justin Barcroft of Shrewsbury, PA; granddaughter, Johnna Peregoy; brothers Michael Barcroft and his wife Brenda of Travelers Rest, SC and Duane Barcroft and his wife Pam of Monmouth, IL and sister Carolyn Evaro and husband Roy of Wilmington, NC and sister-in-law Tina Barcroft. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Neil Barcroft.
Friends may call at the Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead, on Monday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Funeral servcices will be follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. David LeBlanc officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Baltimore Rescue Mission, 4 N. Central Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21202.
