We regret to inform you of the death of Retired Corporal James T. Ostovitz on July 9, 2013 following a battle with cancer.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Jimmy’s family and friends at this difficult time.  Below is the obituary information from the funeral home’s website.  
 
After a lifetime of love and happiness together, my baby, Jim lost his battle with cancer on July 9, 2013. His laughter will live on through his Bride: Linda Sorg Ostovitz; Children: Craig Ostovitz and Jaime Parton; Granddaughters: Zoe, Petra, Bailey, Ailsa and Quinn, who adored their Poppy; Sisters: Barbara Bennett, Mindy Smith, Joanne Witmer and Peggy Cermak; Dad: Will Sorg, and many others who had the pleasure of sharing his irresistible sense of humor.
 
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville, MD 21228 on Thursday, July 11, 2013, 5 to 8pm and on Friday, July 12, 2013, 1 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church, 3175 Paulskirk Dr. Ellicott City, MD 21042 on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 10:30am.
