Betty J. Weed
Betty Jane Weed, 70, of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE on April 26, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
Betty was born in Elkton, MD on December 14, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Raymond B. Weed and Mildred Anne Weed. She lived her entire life in Cecil County, MD. She worked many years with the Maryland State Police at the North East Barracks before moving into real estate and owning her own company, Weed Realty. She was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Church and lived her life as a good and faithful servant of God. Betty will be remembered for her heart of gold and her eagerness for always being there to help others.
She is survived by her brother, Raymond B. Weed, Jr. of Elkton, MD; sister Virginia R. weed of Long Beach, CA, Mary L. Bollen of Chesapeake City, MD and Bernadette M. Weed of Elkton, MD. Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Anne Holmes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church Tuesday April 29, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Immaculate Conception Church may be made in Betty’s name and mailed to R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921.
