We regret to inform you of the death of Ethel H. Kelley, mother of Retired Lieutenant Paul W. Kelley, on Friday, April 3, 2015.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Paul and his family at this difficult time.  The following obituary information has been reprinted from the Galena Funeral Home website.
 
Ethel Hollett Kelley, 85 of Massey, MD, passed away on April 3, 2015 at home.
 
Mrs. Kelley was born on March 28, 1930 in Millington, MD, daughter of the late Charles Louis and M. Elizabeth Lockwood Hollett. She was a 1947 graduate of Millington High School and attended Goldey Beacom College. Her career began with Playtex and continued with Leeds Travel Ware, Ames Department Store and Campbell Soup. She most enjoyed working as a care giver. Ethel was a member of Shrewsbury Parish Church and St. Clements Church. She loved her family and spending time with them.
 
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert Eugene Kelley, Sr., a daughter, Kaye E. Barrett; grandson, Jason Duhamell; 2 brothers, Charles ‘Buck’ Hollett and Louis H. Hollett; and 2 sisters, M. Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Starkey and Sarah L. Starkey.
 
Ethel is survived by 5 children, Robert E. Kelley, Jr. (Carey) and Charles Russell ‘Rusty’ Kelley (Marion) all of Salisbury, Ethel K. Duhamell (Jack) of Galena, Paul W. Kelley and Sue West (Doug) of Chestertown; a brother, J. Merritt Hollett of Newark, DE; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
 
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11 from 10 to 12 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will begin at 12 pm. Burial will follow in Massey Cemetery.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Shrewsbury Parish Church, Presbyterian Church of Chestertown or the Galena Vol. Fire Company in care of Galena Funeral Home.
