We regret to inform you of the death of Beverly Daugherty, mother of Retired Sgt. Cynthia Daugherty, on December 10, 2015.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Cindy and her family at this difficult time.  The following obituary information has been reprinted from the Holloway Funeral Home website.

Beverly Daugherty, 84, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at her home with her loving daughters by her side. Born in Nashville, GA on March 1, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Ed and Pearl Squyars.

 
From Age 15 until 70 Beverly worked in various retail positions until she retired from Rite Aid. She Loved following NASCAR Jeff Gordon being her favorite driver. She enjoyed Duke Basketball, reading, drinking a good cup of coffee while working the Sunday crossword puzzle and sharing a meal and laughter with family and good friends.  Beverly loved the Lord and lived out her beliefs while attending Ayres United Methodist Church in Pittsville, MD. 
 
She is survived by her children Patricia Daugherty of Reston, VA, Cynthia Daugherty of Hebron, MD; brother, William E Squyars and his wife Louise of Jacksonville, FL.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Hamilton Daugherty; son, Jeffrey Daugherty and sister, Wilma Davis.
 
The family would like to thank Coastal Hospice for the compassionate, professional and attentive service they gave Beverly while she was in their care. 
 
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron with Rev. Howard Travers and Steve Railey officiating.
